platinum award winners celebrate at Williams F1
Congratulations to our 15 amazing Year 6 pupils who received their VAT Community and Citizenship Awards at Williams F1 last week.
The Vale Academy Trust Character and Citizenship Award Scheme has been running for a couple of years now. Every pupil has the opportunity to achieve Bronze at the end of Year 2, Silver at the end of Year 4 and Gold at the end of Year 6. For those pupils who go above and beyond, and make a special contribution to the life of our school and the wider community, there is the Platinum Award.
To achieve this award, Year 6 pupils need to take the initiative, show independence, and have the resilience to go above and beyond the gold standard of the award. This year, pupils have written and presented whole-school collective worship, created content for our school website, competed at a high level representing our school, and looked after VIP visitors to our school to name just a few of their endeavours.
Very well done everyone. We are so proud of you, and we hope that you enjoyed the ceremony generously hosted by Williams F1.
